Amid challenges with technology, team building, and initial fundraising, Glina received an important response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company had been accepted into the Legal Acceleration Program for Startups by Pinheiro Neto Advogados, one of Brazil\u2019s leading law firms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFor us, it was incredibly exciting to know that our legal thesis made so much sense to them \u2014 enough for us to be included in their select pool of accelerated startups. I consider it Glina\u2019s first major victory, followed by others that came later \u2014 and many more to come,\u201d says Michelle Veronesi, CEO and founder of Glina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since then, the law firm has been a strategic partner for the company, supporting everything from structuring to discussions of legal mechanisms involved in the business model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But why would a law firm with over 80 years of history be interested in supporting still-small and developing companies?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Jos\u00e9 Luiz Homem de Mello, a partner at PNA who was actively involved in Glina\u2019s entry into the program, the firm aims to always be on the cutting edge. Today, the portfolio of accelerated startups includes various projects involving blockchain technology and crypto assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;\u201cThe program is a unique way to connect our lawyers with new technologies and market trends, and it also helps us build relationships with the next generation of entrepreneurs,\u201d he explains. His areas of expertise include corporate M&amp;A, banking, financial transactions, and capital markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Personally, Jos\u00e9 Luiz is excited to take part \u2014 closely \u2014 in operational, commercial, and strategic decisions.\n\u201cMost of these are early-stage projects, where we have the chance to contribute significantly to the business model.
